If you suspect your patient has a hearing loss, it is important to take action. They may be asking you to repeat yourself quite often or they will be incorrectly “guessing” what you have said. It is simple to refer someone to Manningham Hearing Clinic and it may significantly improve their quality of life.
Your patients can call us themselves and book in to see us or you can do it on their behalf.
If your patient has a current Pensioner Concession Card or is with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, they are eligible for free services through the Office of Hearing Services (OHS), Canberra. They can apply for a voucher that entitles them to fully subsidised hearing services and hearing aids.
To download an OHS Voucher Application form, click here.
Your patient should fill in their information and then you will need to sign it and send it to OHS. The voucher can take up six weeks to be processed.
If your patient is being managed under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan, Medicare rebates are available for a maximum of 5 Allied Health services per calendar year. This includes Audiological services.

If your patient is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, Medicare rebates are available for a maximum of 5 Allied Health services per calendar year. This includes Audiological Services.
